🥭 MangoDoro — Privacy Policy
The mangodoro.app website is a separate thing, and it uses analytics cookies if you accept them — that is Part 2.
What the app collects
Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no servers of its own. It contains no analytics and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or usage data.
Where your app data lives
Your projects, sessions, commitments, and notes are stored locally on your device only. They never leave your iPhone. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. We have no copy — and no way to access, recover, or view it.
Purchases in the app
MangoDoro Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your Apple Account settings.
App notifications
If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by the system. No notification data is sent to us or to any third party.
Third-party code in the app
The app embeds no third-party SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and makes no network requests of its own.
Children's privacy
The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Analytics cookies on this website
The website counts visits, in two different ways, to see which pages people actually find useful. Google Analytics runs only if you choose “Accept” in the banner shown on your first visit; if you choose “Decline”, its script is never loaded and none of its cookies are ever set. Our own counter runs either way — it is described below, it never sends anything to anyone else, and it is what tells us which pages are worth writing. Your answer to the banner is remembered in your browser's local storage, so we do not ask again on every page.
What Google Analytics receives from the website
When analytics is enabled, Google receives the pages you visit, the approximate region your visit comes from, your browser and device type, and the page that referred you, without anything you may have typed into its address. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses: it uses yours in passing to work out an approximate location, then discards it. This data is handled under the Google Privacy Policy, and it is kept for at most 14 months.
What our own counter keeps
Our own counter keeps: which pages were opened, how long you stayed on each one, the page that referred you, without anything you may have typed into its address, a random identifier for your browser, the IP address of the visit, and the approximate town and country that address points to — and, on the calculator page, two anonymous counts: that the "plant it" step was shown, and that its link was used or its QR code displayed. Each carries the time and the link's tag, and nothing else: no address, no IP, no identifier. When you arrive through a link we published ourselves — on a video, a slide, a short address like mangodoro.app/calc, or the calculator block on our own home page — that link carries a short tag in its web address, and we keep that tag too, so we can tell which of our own links people actually use. The tag describes the link, never you. This runs on every visit, including if you declined the banner — declining stops Google, not us. Nothing here leaves our own server, and none of it is sold, shared, or handed to a third party. We never see your name, your email, or anything you type.
If you would rather not be counted at all, a browser in private mode, or one that blocks the site's storage, breaks the identifier and with it any way of joining your visits together.
The exam study calculator
What you type into the calculator — your dates, your hours, your subjects — is never stored on our side and never leaves your device. One exception, and it is small: if you start from the two questions on our home page, that date and those hours travel to the calculator inside the link. The calculator removes them from the address the moment it opens, and neither our counter nor Google sees them on the pages you visit next. The one place they briefly pass through is our server's request log, a short rolling buffer that we never combine with anything else.
The page itself is counted like any other page of this website, by our own counter described above: that it was opened, how long you stayed, where the visit came from, and — if you followed one of our own published links — the tag that link carries. It loads nothing from Google.
Changing your mind about website cookies
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. That deletes the analytics cookies along with your saved answer, and the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
If MangoDoro changes in a way that affects this policy — an optional sync feature in the app, or comments on the website's blog — we will update this page and the “Last updated” date before the change ships. The app's promise stands, and stands separately: on-device only.
